NoNonsense Solutions, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands, is the data controller for this website (nononsensesolutions.nl). We keep data collection to a minimum: this site has no user accounts, no newsletter, and no contact forms. This policy describes exactly what we do process, why, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we process, and why
1. When you contact us
The only way to reach us through this site is by email, phone, or WhatsApp, on your initiative. When you do, we receive the data you choose to share: your name, email address or phone number, and the content of your message.
- Purpose: answering your enquiry and, if it leads to a project, preparing a quote or agreement.
- Legal basis: performance of (pre-)contractual steps at your request (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, and no longer than 2 years after our last contact, unless a client relationship follows (in which case invoices and agreements are kept for 7 years under Dutch tax law).
If you contact us via WhatsApp, the conversation also runs through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) and their privacy policy applies to that channel.
2. Analytics (only with your consent)
With your consent, given via the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used. This processes: pages visited, approximate location (derived from a truncated IP address), device and browser information, and clicks on our email, phone, and WhatsApp links.
- Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA). Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent.
- Retention: analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months.
3. Hosting and server logs
Like any website, this site runs on a hosting provider that processes IP addresses and request data in short-lived technical logs to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. Our provider is based in the USA; transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and local storage
We use:
- Functional (always on): a small entry in your browser's local storage that remembers your cookie choice. No tracking.
- Analytics (only after consent): Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*).
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
- We do not share your data with third parties beyond our processors (hosting provider and, only with your consent, Google Analytics), who act under data processing agreements.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal data we hold about you, object to processing, and request data portability. Email pete@nononsensesolutions.nl and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS (TLS). Access to correspondence and analytics is limited to the owner of the business.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or our tooling changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
