aerial mapping.

High-precision 3D models and orthophotos from drone imagery. One person, from flight to finished file. You own the output. No agencies, no weeks waiting.

in short

High-precision 3D models and orthophotos from drone imagery, processed start to finish by one person. You own the files, you control the output, and you're not dependent on me. Every delivery is verified before handover.

what's included

I shoot drone photogrammetry and aerial mapping for campsites, resorts, construction sites and anywhere you need exact maps and 3D models from above. One person, from flight to finished file. You get the raw imagery and the processed deliverables: orthophotos, digital elevation models, centimetre-accurate measurements, and 3D pointclouds you can work with.

Orthophotos. Perfect overhead maps without perspective distortion, georeferenced, ready for GIS or CAD.

3D models and pointclouds. Millions of georeferenced points, usable in CloudCompare, Meshroom, Blender or your own analysis tools.

Digital elevation models (DEM). Height profile of your terrain, cell-based, for slope analysis and drainage modelling.

Precision measurements. Distances, surface areas, height differences to within centimetres. For planning, inspection and documentation.

DJI Enterprise drones (Matrice 300, Phantom 4 Pro) for reliability and precision.

Modern reconstruction software (Metashape, Pix4Dmatics, or open-source tools).

Calibration data and ground control points to achieve absolute accuracy.

Reports. What was captured, how accurate, why, and how to use it.

how I work

  1. 1

    Planning

We figure out: what accuracy do you need? Which output format fits your workflow (GIS, CAD, analysis)? Which ground control points will we use as reference?

  2. 2

    Flight and capture

I plan the route, overlap, speed and altitude so processing errors are minimal. I capture the imagery at the precision your project needs.

  3. 3

    Processing and verification

Feature matching, pointcloud filtering, DEM export. I verify every stage that the output is correct. No black box, no trust-us-blindly.

  4. 4

    Fixed price up front

A clear proposal with a fixed price and timeline. No open-ended bill, no surprises. Every project is different, so I scope it and give you the price before any work starts.

  5. 5

    Handover and ownership

You get the raw files (images, SfM models), the finished products (orthophoto, 3D mesh, DEM) and an explanation of how to use them. The files are yours, no lock-in, and I stay reachable if you have questions.

why itmatters

Photogrammetry is like software: the only thing that matters is output that's usable and verifiable. Most drone companies give you footage and stills. That's the start. The hard part, stitching it, verifying it, exporting it as usable maps, they don't do. I do. You understand what you have, you own the files, and you can work with them in your own tools without coming back to me.

My work runs in production: campsite expansions, resort renovations, construction monitoring across the UK and beyond. Every deliverable is verified before handover.

common questions

What is aerial mapping exactly?

Combining hundreds of overlapping drone images into a single 3D model and precise orthophotos. The result is files you use in GIS, CAD or analysis software, not just pictures.

How accurate is it?

Depends on flight height and ground control. Generally 1–5 centimetres for large areas, millimetre-level for smaller sites. I'll tell you upfront what's achievable and why.

Can I use the files myself, or do I need you each time?

You own the output. You can use it in CloudCompare, Blender, QGIS, AutoCAD or whatever you need. You're not dependent on me. But I'm happy to help if you have questions.

How long does it take?

Flight takes hours to a day depending on site size. Processing: 2–7 days depending on accuracy and output detail. Total turnaround is usually 2–3 weeks.

How is it priced?

Every site is different (area, required accuracy, output formats). I scope and quote each one on a call. No fixed price list, no guesswork.
